Botanicals' development operations are managed by Jeff Licht (above left), Vice President and Coot Towne (above right), the Workforce Coordinator/Site Foreman. As of winter/spring 2012 Botanicals has increased its workforce to ten well-trained OSHA 10 professionals--some of whom have construction, landscape, architecture and engineering backgrounds.
Since 1987, Jeff has studied green roofs in the U.S., Canada, Israel and the Caribbean and taught on environmental and horticultural subjects at four universities in the Boston area. He has spoken at AIA, BSLA, Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, and Build Boston. He was a Fulbright scholar at the Centre for the Environment at the University of Toronto in Fall 2010. Dr. Licht is an adjunct professor of energy research at the University of Massachusetts where he directs a research program in Waltham, MA.Coot Towne is a former college professor from the New Hampshire community college system and has nearly forty years experience in construction, operation maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
